Video confirms identity of ship lost in 1913 storm on Lake Superior
New video confirms a 1913 Lake Superior shipwreck is the freighter Henry B. Smith.
The long-lost 525-foot Henry B. Smith sank in a storm 100 years ago, and only two bodies of the 25-man crew were found.
Longtime shipwreck hunter Jerry Eliason of Cloquet was part of the group that located the ship.
Shipwreck hunters found the wreck of the iron ore freighter in May roughly 30 miles north of Marquette, Mich., but they didn't have video confirmation until last week.
New footage shows the name of the ship still printed on its stern, the Duluth News Tribune reports.
