Video: Watch this giant muskie dine on a northern pike

That's a big fish eating another big fish.

Cody Wolters was kayaking on Saturday and got video of a huge muskie eating a pike. He posted the video – and some photos – to Facebook Sunday morning, and it has since had nearly seven million views.

Wolters told WDAY the muskie was about 45 inches and the pike in its mouth was around 35 inches, noting he was on a lake at Itasca State Park, but wouldn't say which lake.

The record size for a muskie catch was set in 1957 in Lake Winnibigoshish in Itasca County. The fish measured 56 inches in length, according to Minnesota DNR records.

The DNR says muskies are "one of the largest and most elusive fish" that live in Minnesota, noting they "wait in weed beds before lunging forward to clamp onto their prey."
