A trip to the supermarket ended badly for this Wisconsin 92-year-old, who hit nine cars as he tried to exit the parking lot.

Russell Kerr told authorities he panicked after the accelerator on his minivan stuck, and he ran into several vehicles – two of which were occupied – outside the Piggly Wiggly supermarket in Mayville, the Associated Press reports.

Local police chief Christopher MacNeill told WISN he had "never seen anything like this" in his 23 years on the force, but said it is being treated as an accident and Kerr will not be cited.

MPR says Kerr took the incident in "a typical upper Midwest stride," saying: "What are you going to do? There isn't much you can say. It just happens."
