Violence erupts in Minneapolis overnight

A woman was shot in the leg and someone was stabbed in the back in downtown Minneapolis overnight, the Star Tribune reports.

Both are expected to survive, the newspaper reports. No arrests were made.

The two incidents just after 2 a.m. were five minutes and four blocks apart, the Star Tribune reports. The woman, who was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, was shot in the leg outside Sex World in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue N., and the man was stabbed in the 400 block of 1st Avenue N., the Star Tribune reports.

KSTP reports a different set of events, reporting that a woman was shot outside Sex World, and there was another shooting at a nearby parking ramp at about the same time. There were two other stabbings overnight in Minneapolis, KSTP reports.

FOX 9 says the second shooting victim was found in Ramp B near Target Field, and that two people were stabbed near 5th Street and Hennepin Avenue.
