The Pioneer Press reports that police photographed something found at Keller Lake Park on Sunday, alerted by volunteer crews searching the Maplewood park.

Volunteers are manning five weekend searches of metro area parks seeking evidence in the disappearance of Kira Trevino, 30. The St. Paul woman has been missing since last month and is believed dead.

On Friday, it was disclosed that searchers found a bag near Keller Lake that contained articles of clothing and a bloody pillow case that had DNA matching Kira Trevino's.

Search volunteer Ashley Davidson of Woodbury was using a shovel and moving snow during Sunday's search when she came across the item.

"I was sticking my shovel in the snow and came across something metal," said Davidson.

Police took the item. Officers would not comment about it.

Her husband, Jeffery, 39, has been charged with second degree murder and remains in the Ramsey County jail.
