Volunteers search park for missing 22-year-old Pine County man

Volunteers are out searching again for a 22-year-old Pine County man who has been missing since March 3.

Scott Kleppen of Sandstone, Minnesota, had recently lost his job and before going missing, left a note for his family about finding happiness, FOX 9 reports.

His truck was found in the parking lot of Robinson Park in Sandstone more than a week ago, KSTP notes. Robinson Park is located on the eastern edge of Sandstone, and features hiking trails, a bat hibernaculum, picnic areas, ice climbing in the winter and access to the Kettle River, among other features, the city's website says.

Kleppen's family believes he is somewhere in the park – it's a place they used to spend a lot of time when he was younger, FOX 9 reports.

There were about 150 volunteers out searching for Kleppen Saturday, KARE 11 reports, and volunteers were set to begin searching the park again Sunday at 10 a.m., according to the Hand-in-hand search for Scott Kleppen Facebook page.

Christophers Legacy, a foundation set up by the family of Christopher Rossing, helped organize this weekend's search, a post on the Facebook page says.

Rossing went missing in August 2014 and his body found a few months later, KARE 11 notes. A man has been charged in connection with his death.

No foul play is suspected in Kleppen's disappearance, reports note.

Kleppen is described as having dark blonde hair, blue eyes, a piercing on the left side of his lower lip.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts are asked to contact the Pine County Sheriff's Office.
