Wahpeton plant gives dream car to 40-year worker

Author:

Mike Boock started at WCCO Belting in Wahpeton, N.D., at 19. Forum reports that four decades later, the company that prides itself on the strength of its industrial rubber conveyor belts is giving Boock a reward for his durability: a 1972 Corvette.

The company in the town on the Minnesota border presented him with the gold-painted 40-year-old sports car after a roast honoring his service on Saturday, Forum reported.

“I was very shocked,” he said.

Boock is the company's first 40-year employee and company officials spent a year restoring the car in secret, WDAY reports.
