The Walmart in Forest Lake was evacuated Sunday evening due to a potentially dangerous snow load on the roof, WCCO reports. Employees inside the store noticed a crack in one of the walls, and the structural steel had started to bend, according to KSTP.

Police assisted in the orderly evacuation of customers and employees, which took place about 6:10 p.m. No one was injured.

The store, which is located at 200 12th Street Southwest, is closed while the building is examined.

A building inspector is now taking a look and will determine when the building is safe for the public. According to the sheriff's office, Walmart will handle the investigation and will be responsible for repairing any damage, KSTP reports.

The Forest Lake Fire Department is monitoring the situation and may need to shut off gas to the building in the event of a collapse, according to WCCO.

It will be built on the site of the Cottage View Drive-In. After nearly five decades in business, the movie theater will permanently close in October.
