Wandering buffalo put down in SE Minnesota


Officials had to put down a buffalo that was wandering the highways near Zumbrota in southeast Minnesota, KTTC reported.

The animal was first spotted on Highway 60 at about 1 p.m Thursday, and then it was seen again about five hours later near County Road 10 in Minneaola Township, according to the Goodhue Sheriff's Office.

Authorities failed to corral the animal, and officials were unable to contact the animal's owners, so the animal was put down in a field near County Road 10, KTTC reported. The carcass was being returned to the owner, KTTC reported:
