Police have released images of two women suspected of threatening to shoot a 90-year-old woman during a street robbery in south Minneapolis.

Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder said in a news release that the elderly woman was walking home from the grocery store on the 3100 block of 51st Street East just before noon Aug. 5 when she was approached by the suspects.

The victim told officers that the women threatened to shoot her if she did not give them her purse, according to police.

She complied, saying she feared for her safety if she didn't, and the suspects then fled the area.

Police say there is a reward on offer for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects in this crime. No charges have been filed at this point.
