Warrant issued for suspect in Granite Falls double homicide

Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for the former boyfriend of a Granite Falls woman who was shot and killed at her home last week. A man also shot died at the hospital last Sunday.

Andrew Joseph Dikken, 28, previously labeled a "person of interest," is now considered a suspect in the deaths of 26-year-old Kara Monson and her boyfriend, 28-year-old Chris Panitzke of Redwood Falls.

Monson had a 5-year-old daughter.

Dikken has been at large since the shooting was discovered on Labor Day morning.

A week ago, Dikken's truck was located north of Belview, Minn., about 20 miles southeast of Granite Falls.

Authorities have warned the public not to approach Dikken if located, he’s believed to be armed and dangerous.
