Watch: Al Franken on Conan talks Hillary's 'goofy' sense of humor, Trump's run

Al Franken appeared on the "Conan" show Tuesday night to talk about humor in politics, climate change and the upcoming presidential election.

The interview had a couple of extra special laughs considering Franken and host Conan O'Brian worked together on Saturday Night Live almost 20 years ago.

Franken has been a longtime supporter of Hillary Clinton, and it appears there is no doubt in his mind that she should be our next president.

"She is the toughest, most experienced, hardest working person I know, and I trust her to do this job," he said.

Franken also compared Hillary's sense of humor to her husband's saying: "She has a goofy sense of humor. Her husband, is not very funny, he's NF. She's F."

As for her opponent, Franken says that Republican nominee Donald Trump has made this the "most terrifying election of our lifetime."

He brought up Trump's recent attack on the Khan Family, adding, "He says one thing after another that makes you think he's not suited."

He also implied that Trump has lowered the bar to be a presidential candidate, quoting Michael Bloomberg's statement from the Democratic Convention that we need to "elect someone who is sane and competent." Here's that clip:
