For Ellen's birthday, she decided to give us all the gift of Anderson .Paak bringing down the house once again. The breakout must-see live star's performances of "Come Down" on Ellen and NBC's Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon were some of the finest of last year. .Paak has since bested his best.

If you've never seen .Paak perform, this clip of "Am I Wrong" is probably the best place to start, condensing all of his trademarks and hallmarks into a one-song rollout. The smooth way he glides across the floor, the heart-stopping drum work, the synchronicity with a special guest, there's so much going on here that has to be seen. Ellen seems genuinely thrilled he's back so soon, and given how well he ripped it, so are we.

.Paak's album Malibu is up for a Best Urban Contemporary Grammy, and even though he just released a collaborative album with producer Knxwledge under the name NxWorries, .Paak says he has a new album just around the corner.
