Watch: Drake takes care of hosting the NBA Awards
Who can properly recognize ballin' better than Drake?
The world of award shows welcomed a brand-new spectacle as Drake hosted the inaugural NBA Awards. Held at New York's Basketball City, the production was the first time that the league's annually bestowed honors were presented on television. To mark the occasion, Drake was enlisted to make sure the festivities ran smoothly and provide some levity between the hoops.
One of the funniest sketches saw Drake with Will Ferrell coaching players on the fundamentals of on-court handshakes.
Also great was Drake's send-up of dodging questions in his pre-show press conference.
Bro it'd be funny if @Drake held a press conference. ????#NbaAwards#NbaAwards2017pic.twitter.com/7K0vUY0KtJ

The night also featured performances from Nicki Minaj and 2 Chainz.
In addition to Russell Westbrook winning the MVP award, Malcolm Brogdon being named Rookie of the Year and Eric Gordon receiving Sixth Man honors, the big topic of the night was Drake's send-up of Steph Curry in this parody of Get Out.
