During the third period of the Wild game on Tuesday night at the Xcel Energy Center, Antoine Vermette of the Anaheim Ducks received a game-misconduct for slashing an official.

After the Ducks lost a faceoff battle, Vermette appeared to be upset, so he slapped the referee with his stick.

Last season Calgary Flames defenseman, Dennis Wideman was suspended 20 games for the abuse of an official. Vermette could be facing a similar suspension from the league.
