Watch: Green Day chucking records like frisbees on Fallon

They did a whip-tight version of "Bang Bang."

With frontman Billie Joe Armstrong taking a pretty serious run at Hollywood this year, Green Day revved the throttle on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night to remind the world that their band isn't planning on being a past-tense thing any time soon.

Making their first appearance on Fallon's iteration of The Tonight Show (though the band is no stranger to the Tonight Show, or even to Fallon himself) Green Day whipped through new single "Bang Bang," and sounded as potent as ever. Make sure to watch until the end to catch a spry-beyond-his-years Tré Cool huck a stack of vinyl LPs into the crowd like so many frisbees. Dude must live to Frolf in-between tours.

Green Day's 12th (!!!) studio album Revolution Radio drops this Friday.
