Watch: Jared Spurgeon's sweet goal gets Minnesota on scoreboard
The Minnesota Wild suffered their first regulation loss of the new year Tuesday night when they were beaten by the New Jersey Devils 4-3 at Xcel Energy Center.
One of the high points for the Wild was the first goal of the night. Jared Spurgeon dusted off his best Miguel Sano impression.
The Wild squandered 2-0 and 3-2 leads and New Jersey took their first lead with just 2:17 to play. The Devils have now won 6 of their last 7 games against the Wild.
The Wild host Arizona Thursday.
