It was close but no cigar for Minnesota's Jesse Larson, as he finished fourth on this season of NBC's The Voice.
The singer from Brooklyn Park teamed up with CeeLo Green for a performance of Earth, Wind and Fire's "Shining Star" on Tuesday night. But it wasn't enough to beat Knoxville worship leader Chris Blue to the title, with the winner taking home $100,000 and a record deal.
As a consolation prize, Larson and his fellow runners up Lauren Duski and Aliyah Moulden each won a Toyota RAV4.
Larson was praised by his coach Adam Levine, who called him a "real Renaissance man," adding: "I knew you were good, but you were so much better than I even imagine."
Before the duet, Levine dubbed Larson "the white CeeLo Green," and we're assuming he's referring to his voice as much as his appearance.
Anyway, Larson more than held his own alongside Green as they performed. You can watch how he did below.
