Watch: Moose races snowboarders down a hill at Breckenridge

It's quite amoosing.

A pair of snowboarders got a surprise this weekend when a moose tried to join their crew.

Instagram user @Cherbearox says she was snowboarding with a friend at Breckenridge Ski Resort Saturday. That's when she turned around to see if her friend was still behind her, and saw "a moose trekking down the front side of the mountain."

It's hard to say whether the moose was chasing the snowboarders or just trying to show off.

In the comments, Cherbearox said she was too afraid to stop in the middle of an open run while strapped to the snowboard with no trees to hide behind. Instead, she focused on not falling and getting trampled.

"I thought it best to keep moving and get out of the animals way," she wrote.

Probably a good idea – the moose looks like it's hauling... moose. National Geographic says the animals can run at speeds up to 35 mph.

"Still have an adrenaline rush," Cherbearox said. "It was a crazy sight to see and definitely one we won't forget!"
