Watch: New Atmosphere video 'A Long Hello'

Atmosphere take a much-needed trip to the beach.
Publish date:

It's ambitious that Atmosphere are dropping a video for every song on their latest album Fishing Blues. Just in time for the holiday, they've dropped another one with "A Long Hello."

In the haunting clip directed by duo Dan Monick and Vanessa Smith (Atmosphere's "Fortunate," We Are Scientists' "Return the Favor") we find Slug carrying a cutout of other-half/producer Ant across the beach and into the ocean. The written word doesn't do it justice, Slug's gaze just makes the vivid lyrics pop out that much more in one of the year's best visual/audio contrasts.

The video comes with the announcement of a new Atmosphere release just in time for the holidays, Frida Kahlo vs. Ezra Pound, a collection of their non-album 2016 singles. It'll be available on CD or 7" collection with optional bonus sticker pack this Friday through Fifth Element Online.
