A video posted to social media this week shows the hustle and bustle of Beijing, China – as smog engulfs the entire city.
Chas Pope says in the video's description that the time-lapse was over the course of 20 minutes.
According to the New York Times, the smog Pope captured on video would exceed 400 on the U.S. air-quality index. Readings between 301 and 500 are considered “hazardous” here.
