Watch: The Fargo season 3 trailer is here

The new season begins April 19.

Here it is, the first trailer for the third season of Fargo.

The 10-episode season, which premieres April 19 on FX, jumps into the series' third time period, taking place in 2010 in the St. Cloud and Eden Valley areas of Minnesota. Here's the trailer:

Season three stars Ewan McGregor, who will play two brothers – Emmit Stussy is the successful “parking lot king of Minnesota,” the other, Ray Stussy, is a less successful parole officer. Also in the season is Carrie Coon, who plays a police chief in Eden Valley, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, a parolee who plays bridge.

Jim Gaffigan (yes, the comedian) and David Thewlis (Remus Lupin in Harry Potter) are among the others in the cast. Here’s a rundown of more cast members announced late last year.

Season two took place in the 1970s, while season one was in the early 2000s. So this will be the closest the show has come to the current state of technology – smartphones, social media, etc.
