It was a reunion eight months in the making.

Daniel Oglesby was among three hundred soldiers from Fort Carson's 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division returning home to Colorado Springs from southwest Asia on Tuesday, KKTV reports.

It seems Oglesby's daughter, Karis, was uninterested in formation and order.

In the adorable clip above, the little girl breaks away from her mom to give her dad a quick hug during a homecoming ceremony.

“She was excited. She spotted me from a couple rows back and she couldn’t contain herself. I wasn’t gonna tell her no," Oglesby tells the station.

The video has been viewed almost one million times since being posted to KKTV's Facebook page Tuesday.
