The once-popular teen retailer Wet Seal is closing all of its stores for good.
Wet Seal had been struggling in recent years, filing for bankruptcy in 2015 and closing more than 300 stores nationwide.
Now, the Wall Street Journal reports the retailer will close its remaining 171 stores because it couldn't find a buyer or additional funding.
There were just two Wet Seal stores left in Minnesota – at the Mall of America in Bloomington and the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove.
There's no word yet on when the stores will close, but it will likely mean liquidation sales.
Wet Seal is the latest mall-based store to file for bankruptcy as people turn to shopping online instead of malls. The Limited closed all of its stores earlier this month, while Kmart and Sears recently closed a bunch of stores in Minnesota, too.
