Your annual Thanksgiving dinner won't cost you much more than you spent last Turkey Day. KMSP quoted the 27th annual informal price survey by the American Farm Bureau. The average bill appeared to climb by just 1 percent, increasing by 28 cents over last year.
The survey puts the average cost of the 2012 feast is $49.48 for 10 people. That figure does not include alcohol.
It includes turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, rolls, cranberries, a relish tray, pumpkin pie and coffee and milk. The most expensive item on the table--the star of the show, the turkey. The American Farm Bureau estimates turkey sells for an average price of $1.39 a pound.
