Whoa, this AFI 'Snow Cats' video is an interstellar trip back to the '80s
Whether you're an AFI diehard or you've never heard the California-based alt-emo band, this new clip is worthy of a few moments of your time.
Stranger Things, cat memes, Tim & Eric, Trapper Keepers, and just general '80s nostalgia all come to mind over the course of the Drew Kirsch-directed visuals associated with "Snow Cats." If you're a big fan of rapid zooming into eyeballs, this is your moment.
The song comes off AFI (The Blood Album), out January 20.
“Expanding endlessly from an empty room, the ‘Snow Cats’ video animates a cyclical struggle with the surreal colors of applied persona and identity,” AFI frontman Davey Havok told Pitchfork, who premiered the video.
Uh, whatever that means, but you should still watch.
