Who's serving up deals to service men and women on Veterans Day?

Many Minnesota businesses will take an extra step to honor our veterans on Wednesday.

Restaurants, including Minnesota-based Buffalo Wild Wings, will say "thank you" on Veterans Day by serving up freebies and discounts to those who served our country.

And the discounts don't stop at food. Some stores, auto repair shops, casinos and even Amazon.com will be offering deals for the day.

Here are some of the particpating merchants:

Restaurants

Buffalo Wild Wings: Active duty military members and veterans can get free wings and fries at the sports bar chain from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. on Veterans Day.

Hell's Kitchen:The Minneapolis restaurant is offering a free meal to all active or retired members of the military.

Applebee's:Veterans and active military can get a free meal with proof of service.

Bar Louie:Bar Louie is giving a free app or entree to people who've served our country.

Hy-Vee:Hy-Vee is honoring veterans with a free breakfast.

Olive Garden:Vets and active military get to pick a free entree from their Favorites list. Family members get 10 percent off.

Retailers

Alfred Angelo: The Alfred Angelo bridal store is offering a free wedding dress to active military and veterans. Military ID or discharge papers are required, and the offer is available only for as-is sample dresses. Appointments are required.

Great Clips:Veterans can get a free haircut at any Great Clips salon. In addition, customers on that day will receive a "free haircut" card, which they can give to any military veteran for use at a later date.

Jiffy Lube: The auto service shopt gives military veterans a 25 percent discount on many of its services year round, not just on Veterans Day. Click here for a list of participating Jiffy Lubes in Minnesota.

These aren't the only stores offering discounts. Others include Bed, Bath and Beyond, JCPenney, Tires Plus, Meineke, Home Depot and Lowes. Find more details at military.com.
