Wild win third straight home game, beating Toronto
The Minnesota Wild are off to a great start after winning for the third straight game.
The Wild used a furious rally to score two goals in the third period to beat the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs, 3-2. New Wild forward Eric Staal had two of the three Minnesota goals.
Minnesota has now won six straight games against Toronto, with five of those games decided by a single goal – one in a shootout.
Next up, Minnesota begins a four-game road trip with its first stop against the New Jersey Devils Saturday.
