Nicholas David's got it goin' on, makes another cut on The Voice

Minnesota's own Nicholas David made it through another round of competition on NBC's "The Voice" Tuesday night. He's now one of six contestants remaining on the show.

The soulful performer from Eagan successfully pulled off Marvin Gaye's 1971 classic "What's Going On" Monday night. See his full performance in the video below.

David even got a surprise visit from music legend Bill Withers during rehearsal.

"That was probably the coolest moment on this whole trip," a star-struck David tells Wetpaint Entertainment. "It was unreal. I still can’t really believe that happened. When he came in, I was trying to pull it together and my legs were kind of shaking."

David performed Withers' "Lean on Me" on the show last week.

The performer is easily turning into a fan favorite. Along with positive feedback from the judges each week, an online poll shows the Minnesota singer is the least likely to be voted off.

LA Times writer Amy Reiter admits that the Eagan singer is "among one of her favorites" and TV Buddy predicts David is "probably safe."

If you missed it Monday, watch the soul singer perform "What's Goin On."
