'Willy Wonka' and 'Blazing Saddles' are returning to theaters

Author:

To honor the life and career of Gene Wilder, who passed away earlier this week, two fan favorites will return to AMC Theatres this weekend, the theatre chain announced.
This Saturday and Sunday, "Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory" and "Blazing Saddles" will be returning to theaters nationwide.

Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory will play at 5 p.m. and Blazing Saddles will play at 7:30 p.m.

Of all of the AMC locations in Minnesota, the only participating theater is the AMC Eden Prairie Mall 18.

Wilder died Sunday in Connecticut, the BBC reports, due to complications from Alzheimer’s. The Associated Press says Wilder kept the condition quiet after being diagnosed a few years ago.

He was 83 years old.
