A Minnesota teenager was killed after her car rolled over and split in half Wednesday evening.

According to the State Patrol's report, Kassondra Sage, 19, was driving a PT Cruiser south on Interstate 35 near Ellendale in Steele County around 5 p.m. when a rear tire on the car blew, which caused her to lose control.

Her vehicle went into the median and rolled, causing the car to split in two.

Part of the PT Cruiser went into the northbound lanes, where it was hit by a motorcycle, pickup truck and an SUV.

Sage, who is from Delano, Minnesota, was killed. Four other people were involved in the crash, and only the driver of the motorcycle suffered non-life threatening injuries, the patrol's report says.

Northbound Interstate 35 was closed from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday while officials investigated the crash, according to tweets from the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
