Details about woman rescued in partially submerged car

A missing 67-year-old Centerville woman was found Saturday afternoon, an estimated 18 hours after her car left the road and entered a Plymouth pond. The Pioneer Press reports that the woman, whose name was not released, was spotted in her car by a passing bicyclist who called 911. When police and fire crews arrived, "the woman was talking with officers," according to Sgt. Joe Gebhardt of the Plymouth police department. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital.

The woman had been reported missing to the Centennial Lakes Police department late Friday night by her husband. He reportedly was supposed to meet her at a function in St. Louis Park at 6:30 p.m. When the man hadn't heard from her, he called police. The woman has a medical condition requiring regular medication.
