Woman's body found in Dakota County

Authorities are asking for help identifying a woman who was found dead Saturday in rural Dakota County.

The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office said the body was found around 5:30 p.m. Saturday on Presley Circle, north of 175th Street East in Ravenna Township.

The landowner called authorities after finding the body, WCCO reports. The sheriff's department said it appeared she had been there less than 36 hours. The cause of her death is still under investigation.

The Sheriff’s Department released a description of the woman and is asking for the public's help in finding out who she is.

She’s described as white or American Indian, in her late 20s or early 30s, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8, about 190 pounds with reddish hair and blonde highlights. She has "vibrant white teeth," according to the description. She was wearing jewel-encrusted earrings in the shape of starfish, and has a vine-shaped tattoo with blue ink across her lower back.

Anyone with information about the woman is urged to call the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office at 651-438-2727.
