Woodbury mom named Mrs. Minnesota 2013
Woodbury resident Gloria Parnell has been named Mrs. Minnesota 2013, and will represent the state in the Mrs. United States pageant in July in Las Vegas, the Woodbury Bulletin reports.
Parnell, 34, lives in Woodbury with her husband and three children. She works as an actress and model, the publication reports.
She has started posting to a Facebook page.
The Mrs. United States national pageant, started in 1986, bills itself as the premiere pageant for married women, recognizing contestants for the their achievements, intellect and beauty, according to its website.
That pageant is not to be confused with Mrs. International competition, to be held this summer in Chicago. Mrs. Minnesota International 2013, Andrea Bennett Xiong, was crowned earlier this month in St. Cloud.
Nor is it to be confused with the Mrs. America pageant, to be held this August in Arizona. Ali Carr represented the state in that last year.
