Worker caught in machinery in Alexandria dies

A 50-year-old man from Evansville was killed Thursday night after getting caught in a piece of machinery at a northwestern Minnesota waste company, the Echo Press reported.

The accident happened at about 9 p.m. Thursday at the Pope Douglas Solid Waste facility in Alexandria, the newspaper reported. Rescuers tried to revive Tim Allen Anderson but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, Alexandria police said.
