A 54-year-old Wright County man is dead after a farming accident that occurred in the southwest part of the county.
The Star Tribune reports that the Wright County Sheriff's Department has not identified the man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of family.
According to the report the farmer became entangled in a cornstalk chopper while attempting to clear out stalks. The man had been cutting cornstalks that were blown over in Thursday's wind storm to use as silage.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Two friends witnessed the accident, but there were unable to rescue the farmer.
