Yet another all-time high in monthly ND oil, natural gas production

North Dakota oil and natural gas production continues to burn red hot.

Forum Communications reports that preliminary numbers released by the state on Monday show that production in both sectors reached yet another all-time high in the month of May.

The newspaper reports that the May tally from the Department of Mineral Resources shows oil production rose 2.1 percent in the month. North Dakota continues to be the second-largest oil-producing state, with 8,915 producing oil wells at the end of May.

North Dakota natural gas production rose 4.5 percent in May, also an all-time high.
