A boozy Barnes & Noble opened in Minnesota Tuesday.
Barnes & Noble moved to a new location within the Galleria in Edina, and it includes some new features designed to get people to stay longer. Among them is the Barnes & Noble Kitchen – a casual, full-service restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as wine and locally brewed beer, according to a Facebook post.
There are six Minnesota craft beers on tap, including brews by Lake Monster, Surly, Indeed, Bent Paddle, Summit and Brau Brothers, the Star Tribune says. There are also more than 20 wines on the menu.
The store will also have a modern layout and updated technology, the Galleria said on Facebook.
This is only the second new concept Barnes & Noble to open nationwide, a tweet from the Galleria says. (One opened in New York last week.), and is one of four new concept stores in the works, according to a news release.
The bookseller's old location at the Galleria closed last week after more than two decades in the same space, the store said. In its place there will be eight to 10 new tenants, including a restaurant, the Star Tribune says.
