You've probably been cheated on, Netflix says

Stream cheating is on the rise.

Sorry to break it to you. Your significant other has probably cheated on you.

At least when it comes to Netflix.

The streaming service says about 46 percent of couples around the world have "cheated" by watching a show ahead of their SO – that's three times higher than the Netflix cheating rate reported in 2013.

Netflix though says 80 percent of the people who cheated didn't plan to – with many saying they just couldn't stop bingeing. The most popular shows to cheat with are Narcos, Stranger Things, Orange is the new Black, House of Cards and Black Mirror.

But once they've cheated, there's no stopping them – 81 percent say they've cheated more than once, and 60 percent of users say they'd cheat more if they knew they wouldn't get caught.

Netflix says 30,267 people filled out the SurveyMonkey survey about cheating from Dec. 20-31, 2016.
