Another week in the NFL and another week on the hot seat, that's the story for Blair Walsh after he missed another kick in the Vikings 26-20 loss Sunday to Washington.

Walsh pushed an extra point wide right following a touchdown in the second quarter that left the Vikings holding a 20-14 lead heading into halftime.

The miss didn't go unnoticed by Vikings coach Mike Zimmer, who was very clear about the team's intentions this week.

"We're going to see what all of the options are, we're going to see what the options are at tackle, we're going to see what the options are at kicker," said Zimmer during his Monday press conference. "Then make a determination and go."

It was Walsh's eighth miss of the season, including his fourth extra point miss. Last week, special teams coordinator Mike Priefer gave Walsh the "vote of confidence" when he said he expected Walsh would kick well for the team the rest of the season.

But that chance may be gone with Walsh's latest miss.

If there is a saving grace, it might be that Minnesota also needs to address the tackle position first after Jake Long's season came to an end because of a torn achilles.

He will likely be placed on injured reserve, meaning the Vikings may need to sign a tackle too and they don't have a lot of extra leeway under the salary cap.
