10-seed for Gophers in the NCAA Tournament

They'll play 7-seed Green Bay on Friday.

The Golden Gophers are going dancing in the NCAA Tournament as the 10-seed in the Spokane Region.

Players and coaches were watching the selection show inside Williams Arena and celebrated by launching some colorful stuff (we have no idea what it is) into the air in addition to gold confetti falling from the rafters.

Minnesota will play 7-seed Green Bay on Friday in Eugene, Oregon. The game starts at 4 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN2.

Green is 29-3 and enters the tourney as the Horizon League champion.

The winner will advance to play the winner of 2-seed Oregon and 15-seed Seattle on Sunday.

The Gophers are 23-8 and finished fourth in the Big Ten and reached the semifinals in last week's conference tournament.
