Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer spent a little more than hour talking with reporters at today's NFC coaches breakfast. Here are the highlights, according to tweets from the Star Tribune's Mark Craig, Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Viking Update's Tim Yotter.

  2. Releasing Adrian Peterson was part of getting younger
  3. Latavius Murray's ankle surgery was a "clean-up deal"
  4. Thinks they have four starting offensive linemen; still looking for a right guard
  5. Admitted that new tackles Riley Reiff and Mike Remmers are better run blockers than pass blockers
  6. Zimmer will have eye surgery April 17, then another two months later
  7. Said "it'd be nice" to be the first to win a Super Bowl in their home stadium
  8. No timetable for Teddy Bridgewater
  9. Bridgewater is rehabbing in Miami and he comes to Minnesota once a month for updates
  10. Vikings are considering signing a veteran backup quarterback
