Gopher men's hockey rally from behind to tie N.D., 4-4

The top-ranked Gophers men's hockey team rallied from behind twice to tie No. 6 North Dakota 4-4 Saturday at Mariucci Arena, the Star Tribune reports.

With the tie, the Gophers took three of four points in their weekend series with North Dakota. The Gophers beat their rivals Friday night 5-1.

The Gophers' secured the tie with 2:28 to go in the third period as Nate Condon scored to even the game at 4-4.

The Gophers (17-3-4, 9-3-4 WCHA) next take on Minnesota State-Mankato Friday at Mariucci Arena.

Minnesota Duluth fell to Colorado College, 5-1, Saturday night to split the weekend series, the Duluth News Tribune reports.

No. 19 St. Cloud State beat the University of Denver, 5-1, Saturday night to complete the series sweep and move into a first place tie in the WCHA along with Minnesota, the St. Cloud Times reports.

The No. 14-ranked Minnesota State Mavericks picked up a 4-0 victory over the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves on Saturday, WCHA.com reports.

Bemidji State and Michigan Tech battled to a 2-2 overtime tie, WCHA.com reports.
