Police in California say they've arrested four suspects in this week's beating of a Minnesota Vikings fan outside the San Francisco 49ers stadium.
The Santa Clara Police Department says three men in their 30s and a 17-year-old female were arrested in connection with the assault of a man wearing a Vikings jersey near a parking lot at Levi's Stadium Monday night.
The men are jailed and await assault charges, while the juvenile was cited and released to her parents, police say.
According to the police statement, all of those involved in the assault had dispersed by the time officers arrived. But detectives began studying a video of the attack that was posted to social media on Tuesday, quickly recognizing two of the suspects and eventually identifying the other two.
As CSN Bay Area reports, the 49ers issued a statement commending police for apprehending the suspects. The team says one of the men was identified as a season ticket holder and those tickets have now been revoked.
This summer a man was sentenced to five years in prison for instigating a brawl inside Levi's Stadium last October.
As with this week's attack, a cellphone video of the assault was posted to YouTube.
