5 named to Vikings stadium authority

The new high-profile Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority has a big job ahead -- overseeing the design, construction and financing of a gleaming new NFL stadium in downtown Minneapolis and keeping the $1 billion project on time and on budget.

Here are the people who have signed on to shepherd the massive stadium project:

Michele Kelm-Helgen, deputy chief of staff for Gov. Mark Dayton; John Griffith, vice president of property development for Target Corporation; former NFL player and lobbyist Duane Benson; Barbara Butts-Williams from Capella University and Bill McCarthy from Minneapolis Central Labor.
