The beauty of the NFL is that you never truly know what's going to happen from play to play. One minute your team can be destined for the next round of the playoffs and the next minute your kicker can miss a 27-yard field goal to destroy the season.

Or the fans can get involved, like they did at Sunday's Patriots-Bills game in Buffalo when someone threw a dildo on the field. Wait, what?

Yes. It happened. You can see the foreign object land and bounce near the players as the Patriots neared the end zone.

Some giggling fans captured video of the referee uncomfortably removing it from the field – this is one time the ref wasn't comfortable with a "holding" call.
