Prairie Seeds out of state soccer tournament after brawl

Minnesota boys soccer officials have barred Prairie Seeds Academy from the state soccer tournament, but not because players got into a fist fight with players from Totino Grace High School after an Oct. 18 game. The Minnesota State High School League started investigating Prairie Seeds after the brawl and determined the team had an ineligible player because of a paperwork issue. The academy may go to court to challenge the ruling.

Should Minnesota prep basketball tournament adopt NCAA seeding?

A proposal before the Minnesota State High School League would seed boys' and girls' teams in Class 4A basketball much like the popular NCAA bracket format, with metro and outstate teams mixed throughout eight regions. The idea is to make sure the best teams meet in the state tournament, and not in regional play.
