While the post-Super Bowl celebrations were more muted in Minneapolis compared to the mayhem in Philadelphia, U.S. Bank Stadium didn't emerge unscathed.

Videos and pictures shared on social media and Reddit show that a handful of seats within the $1 billion stadium were damaged or stolen in the wake of the Eagles' win over the Patriots.

Barstool Sports shared a video of an Eagles fan who not only ripped out a seat as a souvenir, but then checked it in at a coat check.

It's one of a few examples of damage being done to the 67,000-seat stadium, with pictures on Reddit showing damage carried out to other seats.

The image at the top of this page shows one missing and two damaged seats posted to Reddit by SoDakZak, who said he saw an Eagles fans kick out one of the seats while "celebrating."

The Minnesota Sports Facility Authority (MSFA), which controls and operates the stadium, told GoMN it's aware of the video of the fan with the seat and that its security team is investigating.

"Per our standard operating procedure, damaged or missing seats will be repaired or replaced immediately," a spokesperson said.

"On a broader note, U.S. Bank Stadium was once again spectacular, this time on an international stage in front of more than 100 million people."

It was an otherwise peaceful Super Bowl in Minneapolis, with arrests in downtown Minneapolis actually down over Super Bowl week compared to the same period last year.

Although no Super Bowl-related arrest figures are available yet, a Minneapolis PD spokesperson told the Pioneer Press those arrests that were made consisted of the "usual drunken debauchery."
