Game two of the series between the Twins and Royals was rained out on Saturday from Target Field.
The two teams will make up the game on Sunday as a straight doubleheader. It's also the first time since 2002 that Minnesota will play a traditional doubleheader at home.
This is the fifth rainout of the season for the Twins and the second in the last three days.
Phil Hughes will start game one on Sunday and Adalberto Mejia will start the second. First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. and game two will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.
On Friday night, the Twins picked up a walk-off win in extra innings over the Royals. Minnesota still sits in first place in the AL Central Division; one game ahead of the Cleveland Indians.
