Another injury: Sharrif Floyd has procedure on knee

By now you'd have to think the Minnesota Vikings are getting really sick of injuries.

There was Tedddy Bridgewater, who started all of it on Aug. 31, when he blew out his knee during a non-contract drill at practice. Adrian Peterson then tore his meniscus in Sunday night's victory over Green Bay. Matt Kalil was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, with an injury to his hip that requires surgery.

The latest to undergo the knife because of an injury is Vikings defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer confirmed that Floyd had a procedure Thursday to clean up cartilage in his right knee. According to Vikings Update, Floyd has been bothered by the injury, which he said went back to last season.

He hasn't been on the field much, Floyd played some in the opener at Tennessee, but was inactive Sunday against Green Bay.

The Vikings have not laid out a timeline for Floyd's return, but Vikings coach Mike Zimmer didn't rule out a possible trip to Injured Reserve for Floyd, which would mean he is out for at least 8 weeks.
